Digital signatures for statutory filings

12 November 2025 · 3 min · CA Sahil Bhatia

A Digital Signature Certificate used for company, tax, or GST filings is issued under the Information Technology Act, 2000 by a licensed Certifying Authority after KYC.

The subscriber is responsible for control of the e-token or credentials. This practice may help with the application paperwork; it does not issue certificates.
